International Research and Practice Conference

"Mathematical Modelling for Risk Management"

Saratov State University named after N.G Chernyshevsky, SSU Mechanics and Mathematics Department, SSU Economics Department and SSU Institute of Risks will host the International Research and Practice Conference "Mathematical Modelling for Risk Management" on September 3- 5, 2012.

The aim of the Conference is to exchange ideas, discuss research findings and to present practical applications in the field of economic-mathematical modeling and risk management. The major issues of the Conference are: risk identification and assessment, risk management, economic and mathematical models of risk management, statistical analysis, economic modeling of risks, applications in economics, finance, insurance, banking, and investment.

Researchers, postgraduate students, professors, financial workers are welcome to participate in the Conference. The working languages are Russian and English.

In order to participate in the Conference you are to submit the application form (Appendix № 1) to the organizing committee’s address (Riskinstitute@sgu.ru) before 30 June 2012.

The Conference information package is to be published before the beginning of the conference. The selection of papers (in Russian or English) will be made on the basis of expert reviews. The papers (up to 6 pages, see Appendix № 2) are to be submitted to the organizing committee before 30 June 2012.

Please pay special attention to the following important dates and deadlines:

  • Pre-registration deadline is prolonged up to 31.07.12
  • Pre-registration deadline: 30 June 2012
  • Paper submission deadline: 30 June 2012

For those unable to attend the Conference in person, a virtual registration is available. Virtual participants will have their abstracts placed on the Conference website (http://risk2012.sgu.ru/) as well as published in the Conference proceedings.

Registration fee is 500 rubles. It can be paid on arrival to Saratov or transferred to the conference account (Appendix № 3).
